Privacy Policy

This policy explains what ChatPaddi actually collects and why — written to match how the app is built,
not a generic template.
What we collect
- Phone number — used to create your account and verify it's really you, via a code
sent by SMS.
- Profile info you add — display name, avatar, bio, username: all optional, all
editable or removable by you at any time.
- Messages and media you send — stored so they can be delivered to (and re-downloaded
by) the people you're chatting with.
- Device push token — lets your phone ring for calls and show message notifications
when the app isn't open.
- Contacts, if you choose to sync them — used only, in the moment, to show which of
your contacts already use ChatPaddi. Your address book is never uploaded or stored on our servers.
- Location, only if you explicitly share it — e.g. sending a location in a chat.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data.
- We don't read your messages to serve you ads — there are no ads in ChatPaddi.
- We don't store your device's address book.
Who else sees it
A small number of service providers process data on our behalf, strictly to run the app: an SMS provider
delivers your verification code, a push notification service wakes your device for calls and messages, and
a media server carries voice and video calls. None of them are permitted to use your data for their own
purposes.
Your controls
- Block or report any user directly in the app.
- Turn off read receipts (this also hides others' read receipts from you).
- Delete your account at any time — see Delete Your Account.
Account deletion
Deleting your account removes your phone number, name, avatar and other profile details, and immediately
ends every signed-in session. Messages you've already sent remain visible in the conversations they were
part of, the same way they would if you'd simply stopped using the app — removing them retroactively
would delete other people's conversation history along with yours.
